Message	Valentine one claims that the reason they made the case of their detector out of magnesium was to better shield those emissions so that the radar detector detector(aka VG2) couldn't sniff it. Cheap detectors set my V1 off all the time. A lot of false alarms come from other detectors. I've become very adept at figuring out when there is a real threat or when I'm passing someone with a $25 Whistler.
